CSR reporting obligation

The previous laws and rules on CSR reporting obligations have so far mainly applied to large companies. With the submission of the EU Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), more companies will be required to report from 2023. The development of internationally uniform reporting standards is already being discussed. Although small and medium-sized companies have not been directly affected so far, it can be assumed that large companies will demand more and more CSR information from their suppliers in the future.

The background...

The reporting obligation is intended to support and promote more sustainable and responsible action by the companies concerned in the future. Having to present the ecological and social impact of business activities - be it to customers, suppliers, politicians, the capital market or other stakeholders - should serve as a lever for more sustainable development in the companies concerned.
